The ICDuBo is a platform which connects government, industry and educational institutions and enables them to come together. The centre’s objective is to promote innovative solutions which will help to transform the construction industry in terms of concern for the climate and the future of the planet. It is more than a meeting place and forum for architects, general contractors and developers, since it also offers a massive, 2500m² showroom for products from companies around the world which are leading the changes in the sector.

ALUPROF, which is a permanent exhibitor there, has made sustainable development in the building industry the main point of its operational strategy for 2021-2025. Visitors to the exhibition not only have the opportunity of learning about the company’s operations and innovative solutions, but can also see examples of a selection of its products on display at the stand, including:

• a slender-profiled window with a thermal break, demonstrating the MB-FERROLINE, which was designed for use in the renovation of historical buildings;

• a façade created using the MB-SR50N IW system, which includes the possibility of installing inward-opening, tilt-and-turn windows. The product features in numerous renowned developments, including the ICE Congress Centre in Krakow and the Ambassador Office Building in Warsaw;

• energy-saving panelled front doors built with the MB-86 SI system, an offer for even the most demanding of users. The cutting-edge technology and design make them not only a functional and durable entrance to a home, but also an attractive showpiece in their own right;

• a window using the MB-86 system, which provides excellent thermal insulation parameters and high profile durability, meaning that it lends itself to creating large-scale, heavyweight structures. The MB-86 is the first aluminium window and door system to use aerogel, a material with outstanding thermal properties. Windows made using the system have been used in numerous developments, including the Hourglass office and hotel building in Amsterdam.

The ICDuBo reflects ALUPROF’s 2021-2025 strategy, where it is not only developing impressive technologies and products which matters, but also exercising care for the environment. Its systems are part of buildings all over the world and their ecological performance is confirmed by green building certificates such as BREEAM, LEED, DGNB and WELL. The company has plans for further expansion in this sphere and intends to achieve a twenty per cent increase in the share of its solutions used in certified buildings by 2025. In addition, that same year is the cut-off point for its work on reducing the carbon footprint of its operations by fifteen per cent. Achieving carbon neutrality is set for 2050.
