Aluprof and Selt join forces.
The construction sector gains a comprehensive new product portfolio under the Aluprof brand.
Aluprof SA, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of architectural aluminium systems, is merging with Selt sp. z o.o., a manufacturer of high-quality sun shading solutions that joined the Grupa Kęty Group last year. This strategic move – the creation of a dedicated sun shading segment – responds to the market’s growing demand for integrated solutions that combine technical consistency, aesthetic coherence, and a unified brand experience. For architects and project owners, both commercial and residential, this means access to the broadest product portfolio on the market in the area of aluminium systems and sun shading – all delivered by one strong, reliable partner.
One of the key advantages of merging two companies long active in the sun shading sector is the significantly expanded product offering. Aluprof, with its extensive experience working alongside architects, developers and project owners, places strong emphasis on innovation and on the synergy between windows, doors, façades and sun shading solutions. The goal is simple: to make it easier to design buildings where energy efficiency, user comfort and modern aesthetics come together seamlessly – and where all solutions within the same product line can be sourced under one brand.
The newly established Aluprof Sun Shading Solutions segment has a substantial production and logistics base, comprising six modern production facilities in the Opole region, with a total area exceeding 150,000 m², including a site in Rogów Opolski within the Katowice Special Economic Zone, enabling further expansion. Its production capabilities will include, among others 10 production lines for façade blinds, 7 Emmegi Satellite machining centres, and 3 horizontal powder-coating lines. Technological resources will also include an aluminium high-pressure die-casting plant with a capacity of 250 tonnes per year and seven machining centres.
“The combination of Aluprof and Selt marks another major milestone on our path towards becoming Europe’s leading provider in the sun shading sector. This strategic step enables us to offer the most extensive and comprehensive product portfolio on the market. It is also a catalyst for innovation. Our combined expert teams will work together to develop solutions that will shape the future of sustainable construction. For many years we have actively collaborated with architects, fabricators, project owners and developers, listening carefully to their needs. This close dialogue ensures that we design solutions that respond to real-world expectations and align with the latest trends in contemporary construction” – says Tomasz Grela, CEO of Aluprof SA.
The integration process has been designed to ensure maximum comfort for both current and future partners. Since mid-year, the Selt brand has been operating under the name Selt by Aluprof, contributing to improved service standards – including shorter lead times for pergolas, a broader range of accessories, and enhanced colour availability across products previously offered under the Selt brand. Customer satisfaction, service excellence, and continuous dialogue with the market have always been fundamental values for Aluprof – and this is only the beginning.
“We are proud that Selt’s knowledge and experience in sun shading can now support the growth of a brand as strong as Aluprof. For our longstanding partners, this means stability and access to an even broader portfolio. Together with Aluprof, we will be better positioned to address the challenges posed by European energy-efficiency regulations and respond to key trends such as renovation and building automation”,
says Grzegorz Barycki, Commercial Director for the Aluprof Sun Shading Solutions segment.
In 2024, Grupa Kęty SA acquired Selt sp. z o.o., and the current changes mark the next step in the integration process. Aluprof, as the acquiring company, will ensure full business continuity for Selt, incorporating its production, technological and commercial capabilities into its own structures. Within Aluprof, two distinct business segments will operate: the newly established Aluprof Sun Shading Solutions, dedicated to the sun shading market, and Aluprof Architectural Systems, which will continue to strengthen its expertise in window, door, façade and fire-rated systems.
