This year, the award was handed out to Mr. Tomasz Grela, Aluprof S.A. Board President.

This is a great honour for me. For 12 years now, ever since I started working for our industry, I focus on state-of-the art, energy-efficient technologies, for I am convinced that this is precisely the right direction for the modern construction industry to take. Aluprof systems are now placed on a par with the best – in terms of quality – and the most advanced systems offered by European suppliers – says Tomasz Grela, Aluprof S.A. Board President.

Polish companies’ foreign business activities became the main theme of this year's edition. The speakers discussed Polish companies’ export and investment potential on the European markets. A great deal of time was devoted to the issues concerning forms of support from the government and challenges associated with building a Polish brand abroad. Aluprof, as one of the leading manufacturers of aluminium systems on the European continent, was a Strategic Partner of the event. The Congress of the Polish Joinery Industry gathers important personalities – it is a major event in the industry. All the more reason for us to participate. It's a great platform to exchange experiences – says Tomasz Grela, Aluprof S.A. Board President. From its very origins, the company dynamically establishes its presence on foreign markets, and gains business partners. Today, Aluprof has offices in Czech Republic, Germany, Romania, UK, Ukraine and Hungary.

The second day of the Congress brought results of the innovative competition: Bargework – Office on the Water. The winning design was drawn up by a team of architects formed by Mateusz Mastalski Ole Robin Storjohan, and Karolina Rączka, who received PLN 20,000.00 for their work. Innovative solutions determine not only the development of the construction industry, but also affect the quality of life of whole societies. A building that floats on the water enhances the urban fabric and is a significant step forward in thinking about space. We have supported this initiative with pleasure – says Tomasz Grela.
