External screens with ZIP technology for secure fabric retention and enhanced wind resistance
The SkyRoll ZIP system uses an innovative method of retaining the fabric within the guide channels, based on zip technology. This design keeps the fabric securely guided along the full height of the screen, increasing its resistance to wind loads and intensive use. Specially designed guide channels are available in screw-fixed and clip-fit variants, enabling precise installation and excellent perimeter sealing. As a result, external screens effectively reduce light transmission and glare and can also provide protection against insects.

Modern energy-efficient buildings require solutions that limit both heat gains and heat loss. Research conducted by Aluprof in partnership with Cracow University of Technology showed that closing both the screen and the external roller shutter can reduce heat loss through a window by up to 26%, helping to lower the building’s overall energy demand. SkyTwin roller-screen – an external roller shutter and screen in a single structure
SkyTwin is an innovative system developed for energy-efficient construction and projects with demanding technical requirements. It combines an external roller shutter and a screen within a single structure equipped with two independently operated drives. The 180 × 260 mm aluminium headbox is designed for concealed installation within the lintel area, allowing it to integrate neatly into the building’s architecture. A two-part guide channel ensures interference-free operation of both systems and improves the overall sealing of the assembly. The structure helps prevent energy loss, enhances the performance of the window and improves building functionality throughout the year.
