Grupa Kęty pursues its international expansion strategy. France is a key growth market through 2029
Grupa Kęty SA has begun building local sales structures in France by establishing Aluprof France SAS. This is one of the first visible outcomes of the international expansion pillar in the Group’s 2025–2029 strategy, under which PLN 1.7 billion in new sales is expected to come from international markets. More than half of the Group’s revenue already comes from outside Poland.
Grupa Kęty’s strategy assumes an increase in consolidated revenue from PLN 5.144 billion in 2024 to PLN 7.754 billion in 2029. This represents average annual growth of 8.6%, with the share of international sales rising from more than 50% today to 54% by the end of the strategy period. Western Europe is the priority region, with growth to be pursued both organically, through the expansion of sales structures, and through acquisitions. A significant sign of the Group’s strengthened international position is the inclusion of its shares in the STOXX Europe 600 index, which comprises 600 of the largest companies listed on European capital markets.
France is one of Europe’s leading markets for building renovation. It is also among the EU’s largest producers of aluminium profiles. Its demanding regulatory framework – including the EPBD, France’s RE2020 regulations and HQE certification – favours suppliers with a documented low-carbon material base. The market’s technical requirements, including monoblock installation of joinery within the insulation layer and non-invasive renovation using existing frames, call for a specially tailored product range.
We chose this market deliberately: it is large and mature, with a clear regulatory framework for building energy performance that rewards suppliers with a documented carbon footprint. The establishment of Aluprof France SAS and a local team marks the next stage in our consistently implemented growth strategy for Western European markets, based on building our own sales structures and maintaining close proximity to clients rather than relying solely on exports.
Roman Przybylski, President of the Management Board of Grupa Kęty SA.
Aluprof France SAS has a local sales and service structure headquartered in Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande, Brittany, led by Managing Director Gilles Carré-Roué, an experienced manager with many years in the fenestration industry. In spring 2026, the Group expanded its local sales team to cover three business segments: aluminium extrusion, aluminium architectural systems and sun shading systems. Only a few months separate the decision to establish the company from its first appearance at a French industry trade fair. In October 2026, the full product range will be presented for the first time at BATIMAT 2026 in Paris.
Regulatory pressure as an opportunity for Polish engineering
The tightening EU regulatory framework – including the EPBD, the CBAM mechanism and ESG reporting requirements – is creating more consistent competitive conditions across the EU and strengthening the position of manufacturers with a documented carbon footprint. For Grupa Kęty, Poland’s largest supplier of aluminium profiles and components, expansion into new markets is a natural growth path given the limited scope for further gains in domestic market share.
The pillars of competitive advantage in international markets
Low-carbon aluminium is a compelling factor in project specifications. Extruded profiles made from billets produced at Grupa Kęty’s own foundry have a verified Type III Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), compliant with EN 15804 and carrying ‘ECO-EPD verified’ status, with a carbon footprint of 2.02 kg CO₂e/kg compared with an EU average of 6.6 kg. Ultra Low Carbon billets, with a carbon footprint of 1.24 kg CO₂e/kg and a high proportion of recycled aluminium, are also available. This provides architects and developers with a direct advantage in projects subject to decarbonisation requirements and BREEAM, LEED and DGNB certification.
The second pillar is the consolidation of the product range under a single brand. The strategy brings together the Architectural Systems Segment (SSA), the Sun Shading Systems Segment (SOP) and the manufacturing base of the Extruded Products Segment (SWW) into one coherent range. The rebranding of SWW as Aluprof Extrusion is planned for completion by the end of 2027. For international partners, this means simpler commercial communication: one supplier and a complete aluminium building-envelope portfolio, from profiles to sun shading systems.
For the French market, the Group has prepared a product portfolio comprising MB-79N RENO/MONO windows and MB-43 SLIDE RENO/MONO sliding doors with SKT OPOTERM top-mounted roller shutters, fire-rated systems that support the safety of public buildings, and a full range of sun shading systems – from external roller shutters and screens to pergolas and awnings.
