The MB-MT50N façade system has been enhanced with new technical solutions for mullion–transom connections, developed to meet increasingly demanding project requirements and the needs of export markets. This is the first fully integrated reinforcement solution in the ALUPROF range for reinforcing these connections using steel and aluminium cross brackets, providing a smooth transition between load-bearing capacity ranges while significantly speeding up façade installation.

Precisely Matched Load-Bearing Capacity

The extended range of connections for the MB-MT50N façade system bridges the previous gap between the standard load-bearing capacity thresholds (300–600 kg and 600–1100 kg). This gives designers and fabricators greater freedom to select structural solutions tailored to specific glazing configurations and load requirements.

New Generation of Installation Components

The new components introduced include:

• new brackets and field drainage accessories with an ABS insulator, developed in response to the requirements of markets such as the UK and the USA,
• universal steel cross brackets (single- and double-sided) with a load-bearing capacity of up to 450 kg,
• aluminium cross brackets (single- and double-sided) with increased load-bearing capacity of up to 850 kg,
• new PE foam pads for use in field drainage.

These components have been designed to accommodate a wide range of glazing configurations and structural requirements.

Proven Structural Performance

The increased load-bearing capacity of the connections has been verified through joint testing carried out by the Building Research Institute (ITB), providing valuable support to designers and clients when selecting façade solutions.
