SKT OPOTERM top mounted roller shutter

SKT OPOTERM is a very universal product designed primarily for installation in newly erected buildings (mainly developer buildings) or for replacement of window joinery. This system belongs to the family of top-mounted roller shutters. The roller shutter box is installed directly on the window frame by means of an appropriately selected adaptive profile, compatible with the window frame profile. It is made of very good quality PVC elements and its interior has been additionally insulated, thus increasing the thermal insulation, which was confirmed by tests carried out in the IFT ROSENHEIM Institute. The roller-boxes were tested using EPS (Neopor, thermal insulation material) – the tests were based on the current standards and calculation methods. The product demonstrated a very good thermal transmittance performance, e.g. the SKT 230/170 box with integrated insect screen obtained a Usb coefficient of 0.73 W / (m²K) while maintaining high operability to shadow larger glazed areas. 

SKT OPOTERM is a versatile product that allows installation without casing, with partial or complete casing as the front of the box is at the same time a base for any finishing material (e.g. polystyrene, plaster, clinker, etc.) and therefore it remains an unnoticeable element of the façade. Product's particular advantage is the ability to choose how to access the product from the bottom or from the front of the box, this even before the final installation of the roller shutter takes place. Moreover, well thought-out construction of the system allows to fit a single roller shutter as well as a set of roller shutters in one roller shutter box.  The system is also available with narrow channels made of extruded aluminium for maxi and mini profiles to allow additional frame insulation in order to minimize heat loss. For buildings with very thin walls, which do not have any development possibilities, a variant with the so-called rounded side profile can be used. In view of the French market, where it is very common to use old frames that are not dismantled during renovation as they are the load-bearing element of the building structure. The roller’s curtain can be made of high quality aluminium sheet that ensures durability and resistance to abrasion and weathering or made of PVC profiles.

The system’s design enables integration with insect screens, which ensure effective protection against insects. Several system variants are available, such as: SKT OPOTERM NOVA, SKT OPOTERM RENO and SKT OPOTERM MONOBLOCK.
