Aluprof Becomes Passive Buildings Ambassador

Poland’s Passive Buildings and Renewable Energy Institute has granted Aluprof the title of Passive Buildings Ambassador 2014 for the first fix joinery products recommended for use in passive buildings. The Institute recommends our company as a reliable partner for all passive investments.

Aluprof and other Passive Buildings Ambassadors are a group of companies from various sectors of the construction industry that bring innovations to the Polish market, the latter taking the form of components recommended for passive buildings. They also provide services which consist of designing and constructing civil structures based on the passive buildings criteria in accordance with the PHI standard. Many regulatory and legal acts adopted today by the European institutions set a clear direction of change in current energy policy. Sustainable development that respects the natural resources, the increase of the share of energy from renewable sources and a significant reduction of CO2 thanks to an increased energy efficiency are among the arguments most in favour these days. Given that over 40% of total energy consumption in Europe is consumed by the construction industry, passive standard allowing for 90% reduction of consumption is the perfect instrument for achieving these objectives.

Poland’s Passive Buildings and Renewable Energy Institute is an independent institution which operates in Poland since 2004. It is the only institution in Poland with Passivehaus Institut Darmstadt PHI accredition – a pioneering research institution, which plays the most important role in the development of the passive buildings concept worldwide.
