On 7 - 9 June 2013 on the Pozna Kortowo Tennis Club object XXIII the Championships of Architects Tennis Archi Cup were held.

This year edition of that event will associate with one symbolic picture – when the finalists of Paris championships walked to Roland Garros courts, in Kortowo Tennis Club the last Tennis Archi Cup final in the category men open started. Although organisers ensured the possibility of watching the rivalry between two great tennis stars in Paris frames, the display tent was practically deserted. All participants concentrated their attention on the fascinating cupfinal of the open category between Jarosław Grzybowski and Jarosław Folwarski, over and over again awarding spectacular plays with the thunderous applause. It attests from one side to the high sports level, and from the other it emphasizes the outstanding atmosphere during championships.

The cupfinal of the open category was the championships crowning traditionally overfilled with a very rich accompanying program. The undoubted centerpiece of the Friday evening was carried out thanks to the video Atlas company the conference with Jerzy Janowicz, whose company officially supports. Architects had a chance to listen to the interesting interview with Jerzy, in which he gave extensive statements on the last of his achievements in Paris. On Saturday and Sunday Radosław Szymanik, the captain of Polish representatives to the Cup of Davis, was a guest of the event. According to short talks and workshops he provides the interesting and valuable tennis information to architects.

Architects also played in numerous competitions prepared by partners of the championships. On Friday there was ‘Corten Cup’ of the Ruukki company. On Saturday ‘Choose Sunguard’ of the Guardian company, and on Sunday architects tested their analytical abilities in the Hauraton competition. The novelty for participants was a possibility of test rides in Lexus cars, which the Sunday competition ‘Serve in they in order to Lexus’ was its finial. It strikingly finished with hitting on a little model car that was the finalist jackpot of the open category, Jarosław Folwarski. It is worthwhile also to emphasize that apart from sports effort architects are also able to play very well together. The evidence was a perfect atmosphere during the Saturday evening, which Aluprof was a partner. The crucial component of the Tennis Archi Cup event is a Tennis Academy for architects that gives a possibility to begin the adventure with the tennis. During three days, in four training sessions, almost twenty architects that arrived from different sides of Poland was supposed to grind the chance of their tennis abilities under the eye of very experienced coaches. This year organisers managed to convince for the participation in the Academy a few sponsors representatives such as Grzegorz Kluczyński who represents Efaflex.

The event closed with a very nice touch on the architects part and organisers towards Radek Szymanik as well as for the Polish representation which will compete in the historical match of the Davis Cup against Australia in the middle of the September. After the formal prize and cups-giving ceremony, holding the big banner with photographs of Polish representatives and the inscription "the World Group is waiting …" they asked Radek Szymanik for taking a joint collective photograph. Altogether in the event participated over eighty architects from which the part arrived in order to fight for the victory in Championships, and the other part took its first steps on the court under the vigilant eye of coaches within the Academy. The event wouldn't be held without strong and of active involvement of sponsors - Guardian, Hauraton, Ruukki, Efaflex, Atlas and Aluprof were chief sponsors. A Lexus company was an automotive partner. DSA S.A. was a legal-financial partner, and Babolat – a sports partner. ARCH, Builder, Sportplus and Investor publishing took the media patronage of the event. The honourable patronage have Architects Club of Skiers and tennis players CLAN at SARP – the Main Management Board, the Main Management Board of Polish Architects and Wielkopolska Okregowa Polish Chamber of Architects.
