Certificates of Conformity for Natural Smoke and Heat Exhaust Ventilator D + H

Smoke and heat removal  function in public utility buildings  is achieved through  smoke and heat exhaust windows and smoke exhaust flap ventilators, equipped with appropriately selected electric drives.

The function of smoke exhaust flap ventilators is to remove smoke, hot gases and toxic substances formed during a fire. An additional function of such flaps  (windows) is to provide additional lighting and regular ventilation of rooms. Aluprof in cooperation with  D+H  company  has carried  out a series of tests in  a German institute (VDS). The tests concerned smoke exhaust flap ventilators (windows)  in vertical walls. Consequently, a certificate of conformity confirming compliance with the standard DIN EN 12101-2  was granted,  subject to which such products were allowed to be marketed in Poland.

The construction of  smoke exhaust ventilators in vertical walls were subjected, inter alia, to the following tests:

heat resistance test

low temperature resistance test

functional tests. The test comprises two stages:  1st stage - testing of opening and closing cycles,  2nd stage - load resistance test.

“Thanks to the  performed tests   we have been granted a certificate of conformity, under which a sample casement made of Aluprof’s profiles: MB-59S, MB-59S Casement, MB-60, MB-60US, MB-70, MB70US, MB-70HI, MB-70US HI has been admitted  for application in gravity smoke exhaust systems”,  says Lukasz Waligorski  from the Development Department in Aluprof, “intended for use in vertical walls”, he adds.
