Aluprof and Selt Join Forces
The construction market gains a comprehensive new product portfolio under the Aluprof brand
Aluprof SA, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of architectural aluminum systems, is joining forces with Selt sp. z o.o., a manufacturer of high-quality sun shading solutions that became part of the Grupa Kęty Group last year. This strategic move—the creation of a dedicated sun shading segment—responds to the market’s growing demand for integrated solutions that combine technical consistency, aesthetic coherence, and availability under a single, strong brand. For architects and project owners, both commercial and residential, this means access to the broadest product portfolio on the market in architectural aluminum systems and sun shading solutions—delivered by one reliable partner.
“The joining of Aluprof and Selt marks another major milestone on our path toward becoming Europe’s leading provider in the sun shading sector. This step enables us to offer the most extensive and comprehensive product portfolio on the market. It is also a strong catalyst for innovation. Our combined teams of experts will develop solutions that will help shape the future of sustainable construction. For many years, we have worked closely with architects, fabricators, project owners, and developers, listening carefully to their needs. This ongoing dialogue allows us to design solutions that respond to real-world expectations and align with current trends in contemporary construction,” says Tomasz Grela, CEO of Aluprof SA.
One of the key advantages of bringing together two companies with long-standing experience in the sun shading sector is the significant expansion of the product offering. Aluprof, with its extensive background in working with architects, developers, and project owners, places strong emphasis on innovation and on the synergy between windows, doors, facades, and sun shading solutions. The objective is straightforward: to make it easier to design buildings where energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and modern aesthetics work together seamlessly—and where all solutions within a single product line can be sourced under one brand.
The newly established Aluprof Sun Shading Solutions segment is supported by a substantial production and logistics base, consisting of six modern manufacturing facilities in the Opole region with a total area exceeding 150,000 m², including a site in Rogów Opolski within the Katowice Special Economic Zone, providing opportunities for further expansion. Its production capabilities will include, among others, 10 production lines for exterior venetian blinds, 7 Emmegi Satellite machining centers, and 3 horizontal powder-coating lines. The technological infrastructure also includes an aluminum high-pressure die-casting plant with an annual capacity of 250 tons, as well as seven machining centers.
The integration process has been designed to ensure maximum comfort for both current and future partners. Since midyear, the Selt brand has been operating under the name Selt by Aluprof, resulting in higher service standards, including shorter lead times for pergolas, a broader range of accessories, and improved availability of standard colors across products previously offered under the Selt brand. Customer satisfaction, service excellence, and continuous dialogue with the market have always been core values for Aluprof—and this is only the beginning.
“We are proud that Selt’s expertise and experience in sun shading can now support the continued growth of a brand as strong as Aluprof. For our long-standing partners, this means stability and access to an even broader portfolio. Together with Aluprof, we are better positioned to respond to the challenges arising from European energy-efficiency regulations, as well as to key trends such as renovation and building automation,” says Grzegorz Barycki, Commercial Director of the Aluprof Sun Shading Solutions segment.
In 2024, Grupa Kęty SA acquired Selt sp. z o.o., and the current changes represent the next stage of the integration process. As the acquiring company, Aluprof will ensure full business continuity for Selt, incorporating its production, technological, and commercial capabilities into its own organizational structure. Within Aluprof, two distinct business segments will operate: the newly established Aluprof Sun Shading Solutions, dedicated to the sun shading market, and Aluprof Architectural Systems, which will continue to strengthen its expertise in window, door, facade, and fire-rated systems.
