DO GÓRY
The solutions that modern construction offers today in terms of joinery are truly vast. The different types of materials from which window frames can be made mean that in this category alone, we have a choice between three of the most popular solutions on the market. When choosing aluminium windows, PVC windows or wooden windows, we should be guided by the advantages of the chosen materials and our individual needs. What does this look like in practice?

Aluminium windows – high-quality and excellent thermal insulation properties

Aluminium windows are a choice that guarantees extraordinary durability. Made from lightweight yet robust raw material, they ensure structural stability and performance for many years. Their main advantages include:

  • high resistance to weather conditions, including moisture and corrosion,
  • excellent sound insulation,
  • a wealth of colours and patterns to suit individual aesthetic preferences,
  • narrow-framed design, increasing glazing area and natural light inflow.

PVC windows – budget solutions

Windows made of polyvinyl chloride are by far the most budget-friendly, and therefore the most popular, option in this entire list. They have gained their reputation for excellent thermal insulation and affordability. The most important advantages of PVC windows are:

  • high thermal insulation, helping to maintain the right room temperature and reduce heating costs,
  • weather-resistant, eliminating the need for regular painting or impregnation.
  • a wide choice of colours and veneer designs imitating wood or brushed aluminium,
  • low price, which makes this type of window much easier to include in the budget of a construction project.

Wooden windows – classic solutions for demanding clients

Wooden windows are considered an elegant complement to any home. Like aluminium windows, they are chosen by those who value an environmentally friendly approach to building, thanks to the use of readily available raw materials. Their main advantages include:

  • the aesthetic appearance and warmth of natural wood, adding charm and atmosphere to interiors,
  • the possibility of easily repairing or renewing the surface of the frame,
  • an ecological choice, as wood is a renewable raw material.

Which windows should you choose?

The choice between aluminium, PVC and wooden windows depends on the individual preferences, the style of the house and the available budget. For those who value modern design and durability and want to introduce energy-saving solutions, aluminium windows will be an excellent choice. For those looking for good thermal insulation at an affordable price, PVC windows will be suitable. Lovers of natural beauty and traditional style, on the other hand, can opt for wooden windows, which continue to maintain their popularity in buildings made from the same raw material, whether in timber-frame technology or in log houses.
