MB-78EI Seamless fireproof partition wall

Aluprof offers the MB-78EI system-based transparent, fire-rated wall solution, the so-called muntin-free walls. It is a solution which makes it possible to build interior partitions with no visible, vertical profiles dividing the individual modules, while still maintaining full fire-resistance.

The gap between the panes of glass, which measures just 4 millimetres, is filled with intumescent, fire-retardant material and fire-resistant silicone. Fire partitions produced in this way can reach a height of up to 3.6 metres and module widths of up to 1.8 metres. The fire tests carried out at the Building Research Institute (ITB) included a model with a free edge, meaning that there is no limit to the length of this type of partition.
