Aluprof’s roller shutters certified by the Passive House Institute

Passive House Institute in Darmstadt (PHI) has appreciated the performances of Aluprof’s roller shutters fabricated using SP & SP-E systems. The Institute has just issued a certificate for “165-size” roller-boxes, which, if installed in accordance with the certificate, can be successfully used in buildings with low energy demand, this in both those systems.

SP & SP-E roller shutters is a top-mounted system in which the roller-box is integrated in the construction, and its front is at the same time a base for the finishing material. Thanks to this solution, roller shutter components do not interfere with the window or lintel structure, so that the tightness of the building remains intact.

SP & SP-E systems have been designed to provide protection against heat loss while preserving the aesthetic finish of the façade. We are happy that the “165” roller- box has been certified by the Passive House Institute – this is the first certificate for a Polish company in this group of products, and the first all-in-one solution for top-mounted roller shutter in the PHI passive components base – says Piotr Gustof, head of Roller Systems Development Department at Aluprof S.A.

Importantly, and if installed correctly, any window recommended by the PHI, i. e. whose heat transfer coefficient Uw does not not exceed 0.80 W/(m² K), and the glass coefficient Ug does not exceed 0.70 W/(m² K) can be used.

For its roller shutter profiles, Aluprof offers a rich palette of colours, thus the product can be perfectly fitted to the façade.
