MB-79N WW Window Wall System – Designed for American Needs

The MB-79N family of solutions has been expanded with a new addition to Aluprof's extensive portfolio. The MB-79N WW Window Wall System was specifically designed with the American market in mind, where window walls are a highly popular architectural choice.
Window wall systems are typically installed between concrete floor slabs in medium- to high-rise buildings. This new solution from Aluprof enables the creation of expansive glass façades using prefabricated window wall segments. It is particularly striking when installed floor-to-ceiling, maximizing the impact of large transparent surfaces.
This new addition to Aluprof's portfolio is a complete and versatile system, built on proven solutions from the popular MB-79N family, including profiles and thermal breaks. A key feature of this system is the upper frame, which compensates for concrete slab deflections of up to +/-25.6 mm (approximately 1 inch in US customary units). Starter profiles are available in depths ranging from 83 to 307 mm.
Window walls constructed with the MB-79N WW system can include fixed windows, inward- and outward-opening balcony/patio doors, as well as standard or expansion mullions. One of the most significant advantages of this system is its minimized assembly time and the small number of workers required for installation. The process can be divided into stages: first, the starter and expansion profiles are installed, followed by the windows, which are mounted using specially designed clips. Moreover, the system is installed entirely from inside the building, ensuring efficient and safe assembly.
The first projects featuring the MB-79N WW system include residential buildings located at 210 Clarkson Avenue and 2840 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, New York, as well as the 625 Fulton Street multifunctional tower. This 35-story skyscraper rises over 500 feet (150+ meters) in height and stands as a mixed-use development in the heart of Brooklyn.
