As one of the Grupa Kęty companies, at ALUPROF we put the concepts of Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainable development into practice by studying the world around us. We establish multifaceted relationships with a wide stakeholder group encompassing our shareholders, personnel, clients, business partners and the local community, and we keep their needs and requirements at the forefront of our minds. Forging extensive relationships like this is a guarantee of our company’s harmonious development and the way forward when it comes to building a positive image.
Being responsible stands for more than simply meeting every formal and legal requirement to Grupa Kęty. It also means increased investment in human resources, environmental protection and relationships with the surrounding world. In other words, it equates with voluntary engagement. In 2014, the group began the process of formalising its previous activities in order to align them with global standards and procedural norms. Part of that process was the implementation of the PN-ISO 26000:2012 standard, which is intended to increase both the efficacy of Grupa Kęty’s decision-making tools and their integration with the systems and structures in place within the Group. In September 2014, the Group began the process of joining the United Nations Global Compact initiative, meaning that it supports and applies the Ten Principles, which cover the spheres of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

‘Bike Helps’ 2020 - The Kęty Group becomes a Main Partner.
The Bike Helps campaign, which is run every year by the Arka Foundation, has been a fixture on our calendar for several seasons now. The campaign aims to encourage people to take to their bikes. People cycle and then add the kilometres they cover to the collective count. The kilometres are then converted into bicycles for children in residential care. The first edition took place in 2015 and, since then, more than seventy million kilometres have been ridden and two hundred and twenty-one bikes have been delivered to children in need.
Forty-nine of those bikes were sponsored by the Kęty Group as one of the event’s Partners. This makes it all the more of a pleasure for us to announce that, in 2020, we have become a Main Partner. As Dariusz Mańko, the President of the Kępy Group Management Board and its CEO, explains: I’m delighted that our company can support initiatives like this. On the one hand, the bikes make their way to children and young people in residential homes and, on the other hand, we take to our bikes, meaning we’re being active and more ecological. I’m really keen for more and more of our staff to turn to cycling to work, for instance. We’ve set up a special shelter and parking for bikes. And if that turns out to be insufficient, we’ll extend it. This year, we’re inviting all the Kęty Group’s staff to join us and take to their bikes for the campaign! We’ll be singling out the best!
The ceremonial signing of the agreement with the Arka Ecological Foundation took place in the offices of the Grupa Kęty Management Board.
Green Hands - Poland’s most extensive active ecological education programme for 2020.
We are delighted to announce that the Kęty Group S.A. and ALUPROF S.A. have become partners in the ‘Green Hands’ campaign run by the Arka Ecological Foundation.
Through the campaign, the organisers are tackling some very real ecological problems which have become a part of our daily lives... in other words, appalling air pollution, smog and out-of-control landfill sites, not to mention heatwaves, droughts and whirlwinds caused by climate change. Workshops, happenings and events are held for children and young people under the ‘Green Hands’ banner. The participants come from schools and kindergartens from all over Poland.
As Monika Sobczyk, the CSR Director for the Kęty Capital Group S.A., emphasises:
Care for the natural environment is one of the pillars of our Corporate Social Responsibility policy. In addition to constantly improving our production and technological processes with a view to keeping our environmental impact to the minimum, we also focus intensely on educational activities and campaigns. The ‘Green Hands’ campaign is an active ecological education programme and I’m delighted that we can partner it.

ROWER POMAGA
‘Bike Helps’ is an initiative run by the Arka Ecological Foundation. It combines sport, ecology and charitable activity. How? Participants pursue a sport by taking to their bikes and, in doing that, they reduce CO2 emissions. They add the kilometres they cover to the collective ‘Bike Helps’ campaign total. The kilometres accumulated by the campaign are converted into bikes for children and young people in need. The Kęty Group has supported the campaign as a Partner for several years and children under the wing of the Group’s foundation have been beneficiaries, with fifteen bicycles making their delivered to them in 2018 alone. The 2019 campaign has taken on an international dimension. The kilometres being collected on the www.bikehelps.pl website will be converted into bikes for Ukrainian war orphans.
