SP, SP-E Flush mounted roller shutters

Our projects

The SP flush-mounted systems are mainly designed for use in newly erected buildings, but also in existing ones, once the necessary changes to the lintel are made. It is important to plan the use of such solutions, which also applies to their installation method, this as early as at the building design stage, to allow for the effective use of the product’s functional values. The SP-E systems bring excellent thermal and sound insulation performance as they do not interfere with windows, doors or lintels, and thus they do not affect the building’s energy use. What’s more, they integrate the building’s façade and form an integral part thereof.

Roller shutters in the SP flush-mounted system made by Aluprof were developed primarily to provide protection against heat loss. This was appreciated especially by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt (PHI), which issued a recommendation for the use of 165mm and smaller boxes in passive buildings. A prerequisite for this is correct installation in the previously insulated lintel in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. In addition, the window joinery should meet the relevant parameters, such as the heat transfer coefficient for windows Uw is less than 0.80 W / (m²K) and the Ug coefficient of the glazing does not exceed the level of 0.70 W / (m²K).

The roller shutter box is made of extruded aluminum and its front is also the base for any finishing material (e.g. plaster or clinker) thanks to which the box becomes an unnoticeable element of the building façade. Structural elements, i.e. inspection hatch cover, guides and bottom strip can be matched in color to the window joinery. Similarly to adaptive systems, the roller shutter curtain can be made of profiles filled with polyurethane foam, plastic or extruded. Roller-shutters in flush-mounted systems can be fitted with an insect screen, which provides effective protection against insects while securing the access of light and fresh air inside.
