"Green Sports Hall" in Cracow in energy-efficient Aluprof systems

22 March 2013 at the Farming University in Cracow the ceremonial opening of the first in Poland ‘Green Sports Hall’ will take place. Expression ‘green’ has a primary importance here, as the entire elevation of the hall is coated with creepers, and the roof in 30% with grass. However that not only provides the peculiarity of the project. It is one of the most economical sports halls in Europe.

15 kWh/m2 annually is enough to warm the hall. A key role in providing the hall with the energy efficiency play above all thermo insulating materials with the right thickness and the high air tightness of the outer shell of the building. Additionally the ventilation system was designed in this way so that it helped to recycle the warmth. It is estimated, that modern architectural solutions applied at construction of the hall will let about 50 thousand zlotys frugalities annually.

Glazed sections of the ‘Green Sports Hall’ is made of the Aluprof company systems. In that project a MB-86 SI system providing the excellent thermal insulation was exploited. Moreover this system is characterized with high durability of profiles what allows for making the great dimensions of structures.
