THE MB-HARMONY OFFICE BY ALUPROF. A NEW INTERIOR PARTITION WALL SYSTEM WITH EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS
ALUPROF’s wide range of aluminium systems has been enriched by the addition of a new family of products. The company, which is admired all over Europe and around the world for its innovative solutions, is now introducing the MB-HARMONY OFFICE, a system for constructing interior glass partitions in office spaces. The features which make the product distinctive include high acoustic insulation parameters, the lightness and durability of the structure and the fact that it is easy and convenient to install.
The MB-HARMONY OFFICE is a solution for the construction of internal, single- and double-glazed glass partitions which are easy to prefabricate and quick to install. The two variants are visually compatible, meaning they can be installed in the same area of a building, guaranteeing not only superb performance parameters, but also a cohesive aesthetic finish which will contribute to the sense of order and harmony in the interior design.
Cutting-edge design, a lightweight structure and outstanding performance
The basic version of ALUPROF’s new system is the MB-HARMONY, which is designed for the construction of single-glazed office partitions and is even suitable for interiors with higher acoustic requirements reaching a maximum Rw of 39 dB and RA1 of 38 dB. The product group also includes the MB-HARMONY DUO, which differs in that it provides an additional layer of glazing. The double-glazed interior partition offers even better acoustic insulation, with a maximum Rw of 48 dB and RA1 of 46 dB. The MB-Harmony DUO thus guarantees excellent protection and working comfort in places with high requirements in terms of sound, particularly where the security of conversations being held is imperative. The systems are designed to make it possible to combine them with laminated glass, acoustic laminated glass and tempered glass with a thickness ranging from 10 to 12 mm.
Easy to install, tough in use
The underlying concept of the MB-Harmony Office was to develop solutions which would be easy to prefabricate and quick to install. The entire system is based on just a few fundamental parts, with the number of connectors and accessories also reduced to the minimum. The geometrical symmetry of the profiles simplifies the process of marking out the lines along which the partition will be installed, while the measurements of the installation space incorporate just a few points. Another noteworthy point is the fact that the material can be prepared directly on-site. Most of the work is carried out using a portable saw, a drill and a screw gun, with no need for complicated machining.
The system is both durable and highly stable. The profiles, which feature an exceptionally light structure and are only 31 mm high, are installed directly onto the floor. The ALUPROF MB-HARMONY OFFICE is also distinctive for its intuitive glazing system, which provides state-of-the-art, modular glazing packers, a universal frame suitable for all types of door, tailor-made hardware by leading European manufacturers and a proprietary counterplate for precise hinge placement. In a new departure for ALUPROF, the glazing gaskets are introduced into the profile before it is assembled, rather than after the glass has been fitted, as has been the case previously. The distinct profile construction avoids the need to use acrylic finishing joints after the partition has been built. The height of the glazing for both products ranges from 3200 to 3600 mm, depending on the type of glass. The profiles can be anodised or finished in RAL colours or ADEC wood and concrete colours.
The superb acoustic performance, stability and reliability of the MB-HARMONY OFFICE structure have been confirmed during detailed tests carried out in the research laboratory at the research laboratory of the Maritime Advanced Research Centre in Gdansk and at the Building Research Institute in Warsaw.
