The ALUPROF MB-79N WW Window Wall System system is an advanced solution designed primarily for the US market, where window walls are highly popular. Glass panels are normally installed between the floor slabs in buildings of medium height and higher. The MB-79N WW makes it possible to conceive and build wide stretches of glazing from prefabricated window segments. It is at its most striking installed from floor to ceiling, creating an impact with maximum expanses of transparent surfaces.

It's a complete, universal system based on well-known ALUPROF solutions such as profiles and thermal breaks from our very popular MB-79N family of products. One of the major pluses of this expansion window is the upper frame, which compensates for concrete slab drift of up to as much as +/-25.6 millimetres, or around 1 inch in US customary units. The starter profiles come in depths ranging from 83 to 307 millimetres. Expansion walls built using the MB-79N WW can be fitted with fixed windows, inward- and outward-opening patio/balcony windows and doors and standard or expansion crosspieces. Two more huge advantages to the construction are the assembly time, which has been reduced to the minimum, and the very small number of workers needed to install it. This is because the entire job can be divided into stages. First, the starter and expansion profiles are assembled, followed by the windows, which are installed using customised clips. With the MB-79N WW, expansion walls are installed in clearance of the slabs from inside the building.

The first projects to feature the MB-79N WW are the apartment buildings situated at 210 Carkson Avenue and 2840 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. A prestigious example of the system in use is the multifunctional building at 625 Fulton Street. An impressive, thirty-five storey tower, it soars 500 feet/150+ metres skywards, in the very heart of Brooklyn, offering tenants a total of 1,098 dwellings and 26,000 square metres of retail space.
